Abel Tasman - South Island

Sailing Abel Tasman Coastal Track Relaxing on the beach
$170 $32 per hut per night Free!

On an island which is mostly covered with snowy mountains, its hard to believe a beach paradise like Abel Tasman National Park exists in the same place! That's why I spent almost a week here, as it felt like a holiday within a holiday. As well as some kayaking, I did a bit of sailing – a favourite Kiwi pastime. Along the way, we saw the Split Apple Rock and some beautiful bays. We were not the only group to be seen sunbathing then frolicking in the water: the seals were at it too. I would fully recommend seeing Abel Tasman on land too with the Abel Tasman Coastal Walk, one of the New Zealand Great Walks.
